You know, if anyone asks me if I have children I can honestly tell them I have a five-year old and a two-year old.
But you don’t!
Well, i’m talking to my five-year old right now.
At least you think i’m more mature than Woozy.
That’s not exactly a huge accomplishment.

The Reckless Moment
In which Joan Bennett is a total BAMF, James Mason gets to do his Irish accent again, and I swoon every time he’s onscreen. It’s like film noir does the women’s picture, or vice versa. It’s a superb little film, full of tiny detail and steadily growing anxiety. I watched it for James, but (even taking into account his character’s emotional growth) this is totally Joan’s film.
*The Deep End (which is a remake) is worth watching because UNF Tilda Swinton and DOUBLE UNF Goran Visnic but boy this is the one to see.

He really doesn’t have a very sunny disposition, does he?
Why do you have more pictures of my cat than I do?

Don’t look at me like that, Gregory, you know i’m technically your brother!!
He’s just jealous because he doesn’t get my undivided attention as much as he used to.
Oh, ah, hello to the both of you!
